Bristol Design Build awarded $13.48 million for Fort Richardson Child Development Center
The Department of Defense announced today that Bristol Design Build Services, LLC, (Bristol Design Build) Anchorage, was awarded a $13,483,962 firm fixed price contract to design/build the FTR262 child development center at Fort Richardson.
The facility that Bristol is contracted to design and build will provide care for children, ages 6 through 10, and will house an administrative areas and a commercial kitchen, as well as activity areas for school age children. Design will result in a facility similar to private sector daycare, providing a safe, secure, and age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activity space.
The award was a task order issued on an IDIQ Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) awarded earlier to the company by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Alaska District, Elmendorf Air Force Base (W911KB-08-D-0008). The MATOC includes repair, construction and design build work such as this project.
Bristol Environmental & Engineering Services Corporation is providing civil site design and construction administration services. Bristol Design Build is an ANC 8(a) company based in Anchorage. Both are wholly owned subsidiaries of Bristol Bay Native Corporation.
