Which File Should I Use?
Each Bristol Alliance logo below has a zipped packet which contains all of the necessary art files to reproduce the Bristol Alliance logos. Depending on your specific need, some files are better suited than others.Full Color
For documents to be printed on an office printer or full-color files sent to a print shop:
Use the Full Color (CMYK) TIF (.tif) or JPG (.jpg) file. All TIF files have a resolution of 300 dots per inch and can be resized if needed. The CMYK JPG files are also high-quality for print, but JPG files should never be converted and re-saved because they lose quality each time they are saved.
Special Needs
For documents to be printed using "2-color" printing at a print shop Use the Special Needs EPS Spot Color file. Resize if necessary. All EPS files provided on this page are saved in Illustrator CS5 format with fonts converted to outlines.>
For large-format, signage, or other special needs:
Ask the printer if spot (Pantone) or process (CMYK) color is needed, and provide the appropriate EPS file. All EPS files provided on this page are saved in Illustrator CS5 format with fonts converted to outlines.
Please note that when printing the multi-color Bristol Alliance of Companies logo, or when printing multiple Bristol logos together on one piece, you will want to use the Full Color (CMYK) EPS version of the logo(s).
Digital Use Only (Websites, Powerpoints):
For digital presentations and other electronic uses: use the GIF file (RGB). All GIF files are transparent and have a resolution of 72 dots per inch. Do not use the RGB file for any documents that will be printed.

![]() The Bristol Alliance of Companies logo is a trademark owned by Bristol Industries, LLC, referencing a group of BBNC subsidiaries served by Bristol Industries. The preferred use of the logo is in combination with a full list of the Alliance companies' legal names. It should only be used in full color. All Bristol Construction Logos:Right-Click Here * The official Bristol Construction yellow is 123C for coated paper/121U for uncoated paper. If using uncoated paper, 121U must be used to avoid an "orangey" look. The default spot color used with our PMS file is 123, but be aware that it must be changed to 121U to get the right color if you are using uncoated paper. ("Uncoated" is a printing term, and most papers are coated in some way, so do check.) Our CMYK formula is specially chosen to retain the correct coloration on any paper. |

About Bristol Colors & Color Variations:
Many Bristol materials use full-color (CMYK) printing. Many other Bristol materials, such as business cards, use spot printing. Of course, we want the two to look like they belong to the same company. For that reason, Bristol Creative Services has taken efforts to use CMYK formulas that will come as close as possible to the expected spot color.
The swatches of color in the two right-hand columns represent the variation in color that you might expect for each logo color, depending on whether it is printed using spot color or process (also called CMYK) color.
Please note that these swatches are provided as examples of color variations only and should not be used as color guides. All black in logos is 100 k only.
