James has 25 years of experience as a Hydrographic Surveyor with related experience. He was responsible for program management for NOAA, U.S. Navy, Terra Surveys, LLC, and Fugro Pelagos, Inc., where he planned all assigned hydrographic and oceanographic research surveys and logistics. He also planned and coordinated the U.S. Navy’s UUV program and assisted with the development of the LIDAR bathymetry program. James was responsible for planning and coordinating eight NOAA and 13 international cooperative research experiments at geographical South Pole. He functioned as sole decision maker to ensure maximum efficiency and highest QC for all of NOAA’s atmospheric studies at Amundson-Scott Station. He is skilled in opening communications and establishing working relationships with the USACE and other federal, state, and local agencies. In addition to his hydrography and surveying experience, his expertise includes project management, logistics, oceanic research, and business/public administration. He has also written numerous presentations and publications.
