SECRETARY OF THE AIR FORCE AWARD FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE (1996)
BEESC was commended with this inaugural award for environmental excellence for contributing to the success of the Air Force’s 1996 Environmental Remediation program, completing the project ahead of schedule, under-budget and with “strong community support.” Bristol identified cost reductions and voluntarily returned $536,000 to the Air Force from its fixed price contract, a move the Air Force noted was “unprecedented.”
