EPA awards 5-year, $15 million LUST contract to Bristol Environmental Remediation Services

Bristol Environmental Remediation Services, LLC (BERS) has been awarded a 5-year, approximately $15 million contract with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to remediate Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUSTs) in Indian Country, announced operations manager Patricia Curl.

The contract was previously held by another Bristol company, Bristol Environmental & Engineering Services. Patricia Curl, formerly the program manager of the project at that company, now heads up BERS, a new Bristol company formed at the end of 2006 to focus on environmental remediation and related services. “BEESC had this contract for the past six years and has done work on 12 different Indian Reservations throughout the U.S., with the majority of the work in Arizona, New Mexico, and Idaho,” said Curl. “The EPA and the Tribes we’ve worked with have been very pleased with our work, which led to the award of another 5 years.”

Bristol Environmental Remediation Services, LLC (BERS) provides environmental consulting, environmental remediation, and waste characterization/disposal services to private and public sector clients. The company’s services include remediation and cleanup of contaminated sites, as well as preparation of remedial action plans and reports to support its cleanup projects.  BERS is a 100-percent Native American-owned company and self-certified small disadvantaged business listed in the CCR. The company’s 8(a) status is pending.
