The Native American Lands Environmental Mitigation Program (NALEMP) provides funding for Native communities to address environmental impacts from past Department of Defense (DoD) activities on their lands. Additionally, the NALEMP allows Native communities to develop their own environmental programs and expertise to address environmental issues that are important to the Tribe. As a 100-percent Alaska Native-owned Company, Bristol understands the concerns of the Tribes and Alaskan Native entities, and the importance of Native peoples taking stewardship of their lands. Bristol has extensive experience with the NALEMP process, including assisting Tribes in developing the Strategic Program Implementation Plan (SPIP), identification of potential impacts, collecting and reviewing available information, selecting projects for funding, consulting with DoD to identify the appropriate response, and implementation of response activities.
