Other ProjectsVillage of Gulkana Strategic Project Implementation Plan (SPIP)
Client: Gulkana Village Council
Together, Bristol and the Village Council identified five sites of concern comprising approximately 50 acres of Native land that contained unsafe structures, as well as surface and buried debris and potential areas with buried drums from past military operations. For each site, Bristol determined the primary concern, ownership, military impact and proposed action, and tabulated approximate cost of cleanup.
East Creek Hatchery Soil Remediation Client: Choggiung, LTD.
Project Objectives:
Bristol sampled the stock pile to establish existing fuel contamination concentrations and prepared a Site Characterization Report which was submitted to the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC). Based on the report, ADEC determined no further action was required at the site, except for the treatment or disposition of the remaining contaminated soil stockpile. Bristol conducted a remediation action using the land farm remedial treatment. Bristol ensured that access was controlled at the site, that safety precautions were adhered to, and that site closure sampling was completed. ADEC issued a no further action notice to the client upon completion of the project. Project Activities:

Representative Water Quality ProjectsLiberty Bell Property – Surface Water Quality Environmental Baseline Study
Client: Metallica Resources, Inc.
Bristol designed a sampling approach; determined the number of environmental samples required to provide a representative study; and identified the most appropriate environmental data parameters to collect at the site. Quality control procedures were identified and implemented. Bristol ensured the safe transport of samples from a remote location to an analytical laboratory. Bristol provided the client with a surface water quality report comparing the results of field and laboratory analyses to the water quality regulatory criteria. The project was completed within budget and on schedule.

Sun Property – Surface Water Quality Environmental Baseline Study Client: Alaska Earth Sciences, Inc. Project Objectives: In 2007, Bristol Environmental Remediation Services conducted a surface-water quality baseline study for a remote mineral exploration project in the Brooks Range near Kobuk, Alaska. The objective of the Surface Water Quality Study was to define the chemical characteristics of the freshwater surface streams that could be potentially impacted by development in the prospect area.
