Announcing Our New Design of Bristol-Companies.com

We are excited to announce the launch of our redesigned website. Our goal was to align our online presence with our mission and vision and to improve the experience for everyone who visits our website.

A core part of our mission is supporting the Native culture, land, and people of the Bristol Bay region, and we are proud to showcase a beautiful photo of Bristol Bay taken by Misty Nielsen, a shareholder of Choggiung Ltd. and Bristol Bay Native Corporation. The photograph is an anchor of our website and is one reminder for why we do the work we do.

We added an interactive feature that allows our partners and clients to browse a database of Bristol projects by service line, location, and client. The database showcases projects that represent the high quality, diverse work we do, and we will continue to grow this database now that our new website is in place.

Overall, we’ve worked to improve the site navigation to make it easier for visitors to find the information they need whether they’re browsing on a computer, tablet, or phone.

We would like to thank the many Bristol employees and partners who provided valuable insight as we worked through the project, as well as our website design partner, Rampant Interactive.

Bristol Alliance of Companies Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

Bristol Alliance of Companies (Bristol) has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2. This milestone underscores Bristol’s commitment to meeting rigorous Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity requirements and reinforces its position as a trusted partner in the federal contracting community.

The CMMC program is a DoD framework requiring contractors to implement robust cybersecurity practices to safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Level 2 certification—awarded only after an independent third-party assessment—confirms that Bristol has implemented and maintains the 110 cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST SP 800-171 standards.

“This certification reflects our unwavering commitment to protecting our clients’ interests while enhancing Bristol’s competitiveness in the federal marketplace,” said Travis Woods, President and CEO of Bristol Industries, LLC. “Safety and security have always been at the heart of our values, and achieving this certification underscores our dedication to excellence and readiness to support our partners’ most critical missions.”

Achieving CMMC Level 2 not only enhances Bristol’s federal readiness but also contributes to its broader mission of creating economic growth and opportunities for Alaska Native shareholders and communities.

Bristol Environmental Solutions Achieves Prestigious DAGCAP Accreditation

Bristol Environmental Solutions, LLC (BES) has recently achieved the Department of Defense Advanced Geophysical Classification Accreditation Program (DAGCAP) accreditation. Awarded in May 2024, this significant milestone places BES among a group of only 15 firms to have successfully completed the accreditation process.

Notably, BES is the second 8(a) company to earn this distinction. As an SBA-certified 8(a) company, BES can now self-perform advanced geophysical classification (AGC) munition response projects, further solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.

Travis Woods, President and CEO of Bristol Industries, emphasizes the importance of this achievement: “Achieving DAGCAP accreditation is a landmark accomplishment for BES. It elevates Bristol Environmental Solutions, as an 8(a) company, to a new level of excellence, allowing us to offer our clients an unparalleled, comprehensive solution for all munitions-related needs. We are now the definitive one-stop shop in the industry.”

DAGCAP was established to improve the efficiency of cleaning up munitions and ensure that organizations meet stringent data quality standards. BES is the first company to utilize cutting-edge “one-pass” classification techniques in its practical demonstration, showcasing its advanced capabilities and commitment to innovation.

As an 8(a) company, BES can secure sole-source contracts, reducing risks for government clients by eliminating the need for subcontractors. This achievement underscores BES’s dedication to providing top-tier services and solidifies its reputation as a reliable partner in the munitions response sector.
